Art talk with Carla Zaccagnini, new professor at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Visual Arts. Carla Zaccagnini will talk about her practice focusing on works that deal with museums and other art institutions.

A restoration; the empty spaces left by a previous exhibition; two pieces that exchange places, another that travels without moving; a parasite on graphic materials; a twist on a façade visual identity; a hole on a panel; a valuable artwork used as what it represent.

The artist will talk about these gestures and the processes and negotiations that  lead to them.

Carla Zaccagnini (AR, f. 1973) har en MA i kunst fra Universidade de São Paolo. Hun har undervisningserfaring fra bl.a. Escola São Paolo og Pontifícia Universidade Católica São Paolo og har udstillet bredt internationalt, senest bl.a. på Van Abbemuseum i Holland, Malmö Kunsthal og Museu de Arte de São Paolo.

Zaccagninis værker er repræsenteret i samlinger som MUSAC, Tate Modern og Guggenheim. Hun begyndte sit arbejde som professor på det nye MFA program ’Skolen for Kontekstuelle og Konceptuelle Praksisser’ på Kunstakademiets Billedkunstskoler i september 2017.
