Experience art throughout Denmark with Bike Art

In collaboration with art institutions from all over the country, Kunsthal Charlottenborg has launched bicycle routes for art experiences. The cycle routes have been created in collaboration with Art Museum Brandts, Esbjerg Art Museum, Kunsthal Aarhus, Kunsten in Aalborg and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

BIKE ART is a nationwide concept with curated cycling routes to public works of art by contemporary artists throughout the country.

In 2018, Kunsthal Charlottenborg made a curated cycle route to ten works of art in Copenhagen to pay homage to art in the public urban space. Now the concept has been unfolded throughout the country in collaboration with art galleries and museums, such as Kunsthal Aarhus, Kunsten in Aalborg, Esbjerg Art Museum, Art Museum Brandts and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde. All the works can be experienced from the bike and accessed directly from Kunsthal Charlottenborg’s app. It is free and can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. On the app you can read work descriptions and get the exact addresses of the works of art. Maps for the routes can also be downloaded above.
