Festive opening for this summer’s big exhibition at Kunsthal Charlottenborg
14 June, Kunsthal Charlottenborg opens its doors to this summer’s big exhibition 'Servitudes', a spatial installation that disrupts the visitor’s experience through a complex installation created with large building structures, sound and moving images. The solo exhibition with Jesper Just is celebrated with a talk, official opening and party.
Friday 14 June at 6-10pm, the opening of Kunsthal Charlottenborg’s big summer exhibition is marked by a festive event that just before presents an artist talk at 5pm. The artist Jesper Just talks with curator Irene Campolmi and actor Dree Hemingway about his most comprehensive video work so far, Servitudes, which now is a part of the collection at the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, after its world premiere at Palais de Tokyo in Paris in 2015.
At the official opening, you can buy food and drinks at Apollo Bar, and Esben Weile Kjær is playing music the entire evening. This day, there is also Rundgang 2019 at the Academy of Fine Arts. The admission is free and everyone is welcome!

Jesper Just: Servitudes
This summer, Kunsthal Charlottenborg opens its doors to the internationally renowned Danish artist Jesper Just. Using the architecture as a medium, Kunsthal Charlottenborg’s south wing is transformed into a complex spatial installation that disrupts the visitor’s experience to question ideas of representation and agency that permeate contemporary society. The exhibition is initiated in collaboration with MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture & Technology in Lisbon, and curated by Irene Campolmi. Further info.
