Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Lemn Sissay, Poet Slash Artist constitutes an exploration of poets working with visual art and visual artists working with poetry. Poet Slash Artist was originally shown and produced by Manchester International Festival (MIF) and HOME in July 2021. The Danish version is supplemented with new works by Danish artists. Further info here.

The Kunsthal Charlottenborg Biennale is produced in collaboration with AFA JCDecaux and is shown on AFA JCDecaux’s outdoor advertising panels nationwide. This wide-ranging distribution means that 84% of the Danish population will be able to see and experience works from the exhibition.

Kunsthal Charlottenborg has previously entered into exhibition collaborations with AFA JCDecaux in 2017 (Yoko Ono –Transmission) and 2019 (It’s Urgent!). The collaborative relationship has now been formalised, meaning that in future an international biennial exhibition covering all of Denmark will be arranged every other year.

The Kunsthal Charlottenborg Biennale is supported by the Obel Family Foundation, the Augustinus Foundation and the Danish Arts Foundation.
