A Thousand Plateaus

Launch of the Danish edition featuring speeches and performances

How do societies function and how can we understand and create new possibilities for action and thinking? These questions have occupied artists and philosophers throughout the 20th century, with one of the major works being A Thousand Plateaus by French philosopher Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, who was a French psychoanalyst, philosopher and political activist.

A Thousand Plateaus is one of the most influential philosophical works of the 20th century. The book has a cult status enhanced by the fact that it has been unavailable in Danish translation for years. Now, the book is being republished by the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in collaboration with A Mock Book. With the publication of A Thousand Plateaus, one of the most influential works of 20th century philosophy is once again made available in Danish in a limited edition.

Join us for the celebration of the launch on Wednesday 2 April from 5pm to 7pm. The evening will feature speeches and performances by translator Peter Borum, performance artist Irena Haiduk, associate professor of art theory and publisher Maibritt Borgen, and publisher Karsten Wind Meyrhoff, among others. It will be possible to purchase the book at a favorable price.
