BIENNALE is an all-new art exhibition shown in streets, train stations and bus stops all over Denmark, arranged by Kunsthal Charlottenborg in collaboration with AFA JCDecaux. BIENNALE will be held every other year, and its first instalment is launched this year, beginning on 15 November 2021.
Kunsthal Charlottenborg is proud to present this fall's exhibitions: Christiania's 50th anniversary is marked with a poster exhibition in the foyer of Kunsthal Charlottenborg, a new exhibition in collaboration with Medical Museion investigates what the changes of world do to the human body and Mohammed Bourouissa narrates with his work about the heritage of colonialism and the derived racial and socio-economical inequality.
Kunsthal Charlottenborg is closed from 31 August – 20 September during the installation of this autumn's three exhibitions.

On Wednesday April 21, Kunsthal Charlottenborg opens the doors to the opening of two completely new exhibitions with the Turner Prize winning artist Laure Prouvost and this year's graduation exhibition from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts' School of Fine Arts.
55 international artists have created instructions for works of art that you can make yourself at home. Kunsthal Charlottenborg is now launching the concept 'Do it (home)' in Denmark, working in collaboration with Independent Curators International (ICI) in New York and the world-renowned curator Hans Ulrich Obrist.
This film programme presents a number of selected documentaries, records and video works which call attention to aftershocks that are local in nature and/or connected to ‘a Danish reality.’ The series launches interventions into the museum space, the written word, the archives, the asylum system and the EU border control policy.

During the festival, you can experience film screenings, concerts, talks, and the exhibition 'DIS presents: What Do People Do All Day?’ opening 19 March.
After a fully sold out start for Charlottenborg Live in the beginning of the year, the presale now opens for a new series of live talks, performances, guided tours, author meetings and long table dinners during spring 2020.
The internationally renowned artists’ collective DIS, who curated the 9th Berlin Biennale, are now coming to Copenhagen. The exhibition DIS presents: What Do People Do All Day? shows a selection of spectacular video works from the newly developed video platform dis.art as well as cinematic settings and installations that question the future of society – and what we humans do in our everyday lives to influence that future. The exhibition is created by Kunsthal Charlottenborg in collaboration with Tranen – Space for Contemporary Art and opens on Thursday, 19 March 2020 5-10pm as part of CPH: DOX.
